Easter Blog Hop

Today I am joining the AWHT blog hop. This is my first hop with some of the awesome ladies in the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team. Today our focus is on Easter!
Just remember Sale-A-Bration is still going, I haven't highlighted any of the products in this post but have in the past, AND will be over the next week as we got four exciting new Sale-A-Bration item released YIPPIE!
If you place an order with me during Sale-a-bration, you can choose a free item with every $90 you spend in one transaction. There are lots of fabulous free items to choose from (ask me for a brochure and an Occasions Catalogue) and the promotion will end on 31st March.
When you join during Sale-a-bration, you get to choose whatever you like from our catalogues, but pay just $169 for $235 worth of product (that’s a huge discount!) but also you get to choose between two free product options. It’s quick and easy to join online too. Ask me how!

So who has heard the DEVASTATING news about the Blendies being discontinued?  Well I thought with this hop I would make a project using another fantastic product we have that also gives outstanding results.  I have used the Indescribable Gift stamp set for this as it is simply gorgeous, also my daughter Rachel just loves Cherry Blossoms and this set makes me think of her.

The colours I have used on this card are Calypso Coral and Crisp Canteloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Chocolate Chip for the stem

So to make this card I stamped the image in Crisp Canteloupe. I then proceeded to colour it in using my aqua painters, note this is done on whisper white card stock. I used Calypso Coral first for the centre of the flowers and then the Crisp Canteloupe further out towards the edges of the flowers.  Now since doing that I have worked out that it would probably have been quicker and easier if I had of done the whole flower in Crisp Canteloupe first and then done the centres in the Calypso Coral. simple because doing it the way I did it seemed to smudge/ blend a little too much for my taste, so I added another layer of Calypso Coral over the top in the centres.  To finish the flowers I used a Basic Grey Stampin' Write marker to colour in the stamens on the flowers and stamped that over the top (I though Black would have been too bigger contrast and wanted the image to stay soft).
The sentiment I stamped with Pistachio Pudding onto Whisper White Card stock, which I punched out using the Word Window Punch, I then Layered it up with some Pistachio Pudding and the Modern Label Punch.
The inside of the card I stamped with a part of the same stamp set and coloured it in the same way. A good thing to add here may be that when Aqua Painting I loaded my brush from the lids of my ink pads, and when applying to the page I put the brush down towards the outside of the petal and dragged it inwards.  The little lines for the border around the edge were done using a Stampin' Pierce template and a Stampin' Write marker on the fine end.
I finished it off by layering it up with some Pistachio Pudding Card Stock and added the sentiment using Stampin' Dimenionals.  I hope you like the overall effect.  Be sure to leave a comment below as we all love feedback.  Next up on the blog hop is the lovely Kate :)  Until next time Happy Stamping Tamie xx

Crazy crafters march 2015 blog hop

Welcome to the crazy crafters march blog hop. This month we are featuring the new sale-a-bration products. If you have got to me in the order of the blog hop you will have come through from our fab leader Kylie, if not never fear we all have a next blog button and that will take you through the whole list of participants back to me :). Mine is something nice and simple this month, I hope you like it.

I used crumb cake card stock for the base and whisper white to stamp on. I punched out some crumb cake with the scalloped border bunch, I rubbed over it with the versamark ink pad. I stamped the flowers and butterfly using the new Nature's Perfection Stamp Set. And the sentiment I cannot think of for the life of me which set it is out of. So I will get back to you what it is (mummy brain happening here). Then I embellished with some of the Mossy Meadow Thick Bakers Twine, also from the new sab brochure. So hopefully I have done something a little different to give you inspiration, if not I'm sure our gorgeous Em will have made something spectacular. Please be sure to leave comments as we all love feed back. So until next month happy crafting. Xxx
